After a beautiful sunny day at the zoo and Jungle Jack's Landing with Nana yesterday I announced to the boys that we would be moving bedtime back to 8pm to prepare for school starting in less than a week. It's time to starting getting organized again and prepare for a new school routine, right??

However, at 9pm we were barefoot hiking at Indianbluffs Field instead. The sky was so full of color at sunset and the temperature was perfect. There was no way I was putting these kids to bed! The barefoot hike was their daddy's idea and even though there were a few complaints about thorns and rocks with barefeet, we were all so happy to be out enjoying one of the last nights of summer together. The image in my mind of the short drive home with windows down, Toby Mac blaring through the speakers, and all four of them dancing in the back seat makes me smile still today when I think about it.

School supplies have been purchased and Nana took care of new school shoes on our trip to Easton this week. The boys know who their new teachers will be and are starting to get excited about seeing their friends again. But, we still have a few days left of summer and we're going to squeeze in a little more fun before it's all over!
