If you live in Columbus you need to check out Rad Dog! Yesterday we attempted to do the majority of our grocery shopping from local farmers. Usually we do this at the North Market, but this time we went to the Clintonville Farmer's Market and the Urban Farmer's Market. The Clintonville Market was great and I think we'll be doing our shopping there instead of the North Market from now on. The main reason for our next stop at the Urban Farmer's Market was to visit our good friends Tawd and Sharon (and Miss Nora) at their new vegetarian hot dog stand. We are so proud of them and we were not disappointed. The boys loved their hot dogs and Eric and I are huge fans of the Rad Dog. Please visit www.raddogveg.com to find where they'll be setting up each day in the city and then go check them out! As an added bonus, Patty Cake Vegan Bakery had a both at the Urban Farmer's Market. It was a great lunch! I also got my early birthday present from my husband at the Urban market too. Check out madebyamyd.com...I LOVE my new apron! I feel so June Cleverish, which makes me really happy.
I think we did pretty well accomplishing our local grocery goal this week. After the market we only spent $15 at Whole Foods on staples we ran out of, $10 at Aldi, and $12 at Krema Peanut Butter. Support your local businesses, friends. It's so important. Just as one more reminder, read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle!
One last thing, click on the adoption blog link...we need your garage sale donations!
