A delivery man just brought a planter with beautiful flowers from Mayor Coleman! the card said, "Congratulations on your new home." Some of you know how I feel about Mayor Coleman. As you can imagine, I was very excited.

We've been in the new house a week now. It's still a mess, and probably will be for a few more weeks. But, we are making progress and we LOVE the house. It's been a little overwhelming, I don't know how this all happened, but it's really been exciting. We've met some of our neighbors this week. Life is very different here and I think it will take time for people to view us a neighbors rather than outsiders. Of course, we are the new target for petty theft. But, our neighbors have been kind enough to find the things that others have stolen from the backyard and have returned them to us. We have moved most things to the basement until our fence and shed are done in the backyard. The grill and the picnic table are still back there, but they are chained together and that should help.

Life was on hold this week, most of our time was spent working on the house. Next week things have to get back to normal. Riley has basketball camp and t-ball games. Eric has to get busy catching up on school work. Poor Trey just needs out of the house, he can't handle another day wandering around here while I unpack. So, we'll work on the house as we can and try to have a fun summer week. Next weekend we're off to the lake to visit Eric's grandparents. It'll be good to take a break from everything and get away.
