My four year old went to bed with a broken heart. He watched the entire OSU basketball game with me, including both overtimes, only to have the Buckeyes lose by 3 in the end. He cheered so loud he lost his voice. He burst into tears when it was over, "why did they lose?" I tried to explain that sometimes we win and sometimes we lose, just like in Chutes and Ladders. He'll learn if he keeps watching college basketball with his mommy that you can alway dream about being the Cinderella team in March. The entire game Trey was busy playing Thomas the Train, but ocasionally would turn and scream "defense" or "go bucks" at the tv screen. A good night with my boys. I'm not sure how to explain it exactly, but sometimes it seems like I love them so much it hurts.
That's so precious.
You must be the coolest mom ever. If I am ever blessed with boys, I think they're going to have to look to daddy for basketball watching!
(When do you find out if it's a boy or girl!!!!! I can hardly stand it!!!!)
