Moving through our first full week of school. Transitions are not my favorite, but we're making it. It's been a long week for all of us, not bad, but long. Riley thought it was Friday this morning, and was a little disappointed that he actually had two more days of school. He's enjoying his class and teacher, but they are tired and miss their free time. We've had a rough spot or two with Trey, but we're working through it and his teacher has been extremely helpful.

My older two boys ran 2.5 miles with me last night! They are incredibly cute during our "training" times. It's fun to watch the adrenaline kick in after they have been running for a mile or so. They are all geared up for the MVNU Homecoming 5K and they are planning on running the 4 miler on Thanksgiving Day. 4 miles sounds like a lot for Trey, but he really surprised me last night, so we'll see. The funny part is they thought they were going to run the half in May. I had to explain to them that they might have set a goal that was a little too big...that maybe focusing on 4 miles is a big enough goal for quite some time!

Evan isn't wanting to run, but that kid is a speed demon on his two wheeler and is loving that he can ride without training wheels now. All this physical activity is so good for all of us...it makes me dread winter when the main activity is trudging through the snow to get to the grocery store with all four of them bundled up. But, let's forget about winter because today is the first day of September and I LOVE the fall!
