13.1. 2 hrs. and 33 min.

It's finished and I'm really happy with how it all went. It feels a little like the day after Christmas. Weird to be on the other side of something you've trained and anticipated for so long.

I slept well the night before and the weather was perfect for a long run.

I ran for the first time last July, less than a year ago. I made it .2 miles before I had to stop and walk. Since them I have run alone each week...rain, snow, ice...sick kids, a husband with a broken back, shin splints, and a baby that refused to sleep through the night. I have never attempted or accomplished anything like this in my life and I'm super happy about it.

My family has been very supportive and my friend Kelsie has encouraged me constantly along the way.

The fun part is that this isn't the end, I'm just getting started!

Off to church with my parents this morning for Mother's Day. Would it look strange if I wore my medal? Probably.

My two oldest want to start training for the 5K at the Naz in November. How fun would that be if it actually happened?!

Once again I'm a proud Mom. I knew you could do it, never ever doubted it.
