In the other room Eric (not my Eric) is playing guitar, a little after dinner concert for the Stetler family. Eric is one of Franklinton's many "characters." We have started calling him the wandering prophet, and he happens to be awesome on the guitar. He's singing about Jesus, the One who saved him from a life of sin. Eric has quite a story, a troubled past. He found Jesus and he wanders Franklinton sharing with all the neighbors. He stops here often, sometimes he stays longer than we would like if I'm going to be honest. But tonight, his presence is peaceful.

A month or so ago I was in a terrible funk due to this adoption mess. I was depressed, frustrated, and ready to quit. Eric stop to pray with me briefly and started to leave. As he was walking down the stairs he stopped, turned to me suddenly and said, "The Lord just told me to tell you not to give up on this adoption, to keep fighting." Then he left. He knows very, very little about our adoption. Now, he's told me some pretty crazy stuff over the last two years as well...really wacky stuff. But, I truly believe that his message that night was from God. I haven't started blogging again on our adoption blog, but I will. I'm not ready yet, and I don't know anything new yet about Nana. But, the time will come.

Tomorrow we leave for the beach!
