The week started off rough. Some mom's would never admit this, but I'm about to post it on the world wide web...LICE!!!! What an ordeal. Two of the boys had it, but I was in complete panic mode so all five of us, plus my mom, got a treatment. This house has never been so clean. I have washed, scrubbed, vacuumed, and sprayed everything that stands still in the house. I have completely lost track of how many loads of laundry I've done...sheets, towels, coats, hats, blankets, comforters, scarves, stuffed animals, rugs. But now the house is spotless, at least for a few more hours until the destruction begins again.
Today things were much better. The snow started falling and I enjoyed my clean, cozy house all day long. I like winter in the beginning, getting all settled in my warm house with my family. I struggle a bit as we get closer to spring, but for now I'm enjoying the beginning of hibernation. I pulled out the Kentucky Bourbon candle today. It's the smell of winter in our house and in my opinion the very best candle on the planet. Check out www.candleberry.com if you enjoy candles. They are the best. The smell of Kentucky Bourbon has filled our house for about eight winters now and it brings back all kinds of snowy memories. It comes out every year right after Christmas.
I just finished off two warm half baked chocolate chip cookies with a glass of Snowville milk. It doesn't get much better than that.
And now...time to work before my dad's customers get all fussy.
Happy Winter!
Yikes...Lice. Anyone in class have it? We haven't experienced it but I am sure I will be following in your footsteps.
Hey, great news about your daughter!
And, I miss you. Break went too fast. I am sorry we didn't have a moment to catch up...maybe next week? Thursday? Any thoughts?
