Parasites suck. I have never been as sick as I was over the last five days. Today I managed to take the kids to the Franklin Park Conservatory with Eric's help. He's still recovering too, so by the end of a few hours of fun we were sick and tired. I came home and slept for two hours, still not fully recovered from a bit of activity when I woke up. I did eat close to three meals today, which is a huge deal. I have eaten very little over the last week or so and I've been so weak. Not my favorite way to take off a few pounds. My boys have been AMAZING through all of this. They had this before us, and have been fully recovered for awhile now. I'm sure having a sick mommy and daddy isn't much fun, but they have been so good. My mom and Jen have helped out so much, I don't think we could have made it without them. I'm hoping for a "normal" day tomorrow.
Tonight after VBS I walked a little girl from church home. I'm well acquainted with her family. We go to church together, have spent time at the pool together, and her older son played basketball at Gladden with Riley. She apologized that I would have to go out of my way to bring her daughter home. I told her it wasn't out of my way at all because I just live a block away. She just stared at me, I don't think she believed me at first. Even though I've spent time with her at so many places in the neighborhood, she still couldn't imagine that our family would live here. I wish we could just blend in a little more. I guess it just takes time, I really don't know.
