I love getting my hair cut. The best thing about the experience is time to quietly read a magazine. I read a really great article in the March3 issue of Time. I'm not a big fan of President Bush, but this article on the not so publicized progress that was made in Africa during his administration deserves to be read. For some reason, it is missing from the on-line edition of the issue. If you see a hard copy, pick it up and take a look. It's hard to miss the issue, it has a very nice picture of George Clooney on the cover.

Spring break has been good at our house. We've been able to really experience some great spring activities, first at the conservatory and then on Wednesday at Slate Run Historical Farm. If you live in Columbus and haven't been, take a trip there. It's a beautiful working farm designed to run like farm life in the 1880's. It was an absolutely perfect spring day and we had a blast seeing all the animals and relaxing on the farm. The new baby lambs were precious and we were able to see the sheep get their spring hair cut. The boys loved pumping water and grinding corn. They felt like they were really doing hard farm work. And, we were able to have our first picnic of the season! It's so good for my boys to spend time like this around living things, especially living in Franklinton. I'll post pictures soon.

We will finish off spring break with my brother's wedding this weekend. We're excited to celebrate with him and Nicole. His future right now is very uncertain, but I know one thing without a doubt...there is a lot of hope. I love my brother more than I can explain.

how could you forget to mention riley's comment on the way there...
country roads... the van bouncing over hills ... riley yells from the back seat "hey, that makes my wiener sparkle"
