I'm leaving for the beach in the morning. I'm taking my kids, my parents, my brother and Nicole with me. Unfortunately we'll be leaving Eric here to study and go to school.
I've packed some books I've been wanting to read for some time now. Maybe I'll find some time for reading, that doesn't happen when I'm at home. The only shoes I packed are flip flops, but last year I didn't even pull those out of the suit case for a few days. Not much need for shoes at the beach. I love the ocean. I love the sand. I love getting sandy and staying sandy all day. Then a shower feels even better before dinner. I love the pace of life at the beach. I'm going to let Trey move as slow as he wants for the entire two weeks. I have to hurry him along more than I like each day at home to make it through the schedule of our day. The schedule is getting thrown away for a bit.I just wish I could bring my husband along, I'm really going to miss him.
This morning we celebrated Riley's birthday with the traditional Stetler birthday pancake breakfast. His birthday is the 9th, but we wanted to celebrate with Eric before we left. So, he opened presents after pancakes. Six candles this year. Kindergarten will start right after we get back. I try my best to not even think about it.
Have you met Evan? Wow--he has a mind of his own and he'll let you know about it. Wonder how much sand he'll eat.
I better get to bed. A long day in the car tomorrow with three little boys.
