I'm beginning to feel like I just might lose my mind. My body can't seem to completely get past this flu I've had all week. I'm still really tired and my stomach is messed up.
Last night we went to Buca for the Knotmyne Inc. company Christmas party. Sadly, I ate very little because of how I was feeling. I love Buca, but I have no appetite. My dad has assembled quite the rag-tag crew and to see us all sitting at one table was pretty funny. First, his office staff--two stay at home moms who work from home and take care of their kids at the same time. And the salesforce-an ex-con who served a mysterious 8 years in prison that my dad met at a Bible study, my brother who has also served time in jail and like the ex-con could never get another job like this with his record, a church planter/Starbucks barista who sells a little furniture on the side, and another character I really can't find the words to describe right now. The crazy part is that my dad has been in this business for 25 years and could assemble a much more competent crew if he chose to. But, he doesn't. He works hard to make it work because he knows how much we all need the work. He goes to bat for us when we screw up, even if it means putting his own job on the line. And then, he honors us with a feast, a feast fit for kings. So to him, and my mom (the true CEO of Knotmyne, Inc.), thank you. Thank you for opportunity, thank you for modeling how to run a business with kingdom values, thank you for last night, thank you for everything.

Oh, Kerri! I'll be praying for a quicker and complete recovery as you carry the littlest Stetler.

Also, what a beautiful legacy you have.

I choose fiction over almost anything else, too, Kerri. I love the Mitford books... they have an Anne of Green Gables quality, but not. Hope you enjoy! The first one is called At Home in Mitford. Hope you're better!
