Yesterday was one of those story book days. How many days a year do you get 75 and sunny in Columbus, not many. And, Eric was actually off work for the entire day. We took full advantage of the weather. The morning was spent shopping for new sandals for Riley. It's always nice when you find a good deal. Then, a picnic at the park. Trey wants so bad to be as big as his brother. They ran, climbed, and giggled to the point of exhaustion. Rest time back at home for the boys and I thought about taking a nap, but instead decided to read out in the sun. A new book, a popsicle, and iced tea. We started up the grill for the first time this spring and ate outside. Then finished the day with a wagon ride and another trip to a different park.
Eric is building a bike and Riley won't stop riding his new bike. I think I better start biking if I ever want to see the three of them in a few years.
More good news to smile about--Ginger is feeling the baby move. Sara told me she was praying that God would breath life into this baby. What a beautiful sign of life! I continue to pray and believe that this little one will be healed completely.
And yet all day yesterday thoughts of Doug, Alyssa, and Amanda were in the back of mind. I don't think they were able to enjoy the sunshine. I wish I could just fix it, make everything better for my friend. Praying for God's grace, peace, and comfort, and never giving up on His healing.
