Today it really felt like spring. Jen went with me and the boys on our first trip to the zoo since the fall. It was good to be back. It's my favorite place to take the kids for a day trip. We met my friend Debbie and her little girl McKenna for the Easter celebration at the zoo. The sun decided to come out after lunch and it felt so nice to be outside for the day. Trey went to the zoo several times last summer, but he was just an infant then. It was so fun to watch him attack the animals in the petting zoo and stare in awe at the fish in the aquarium. Debbie--let's plan our next trip soon!

We then went to my mom's to celebrate Easter with my family. Mom had hidden a ton of eggs for all the little ones. More time outside, lots of food, and special Easter baskets with candy Nana made herself. A good day, a very good day.

And now I think I better get some rest so I'm ready to celebrate Easter at 64 King tomorrow.

I miss hearing Eric sing this on Easter morning...

The Blood that Jesus shed for me,
way back on Calvary.
The Blood that gives me strength from day to day
it will never lose its power.

For it reaches to the highest mountains,
and it flows to the lowest valleys
Oh the Blood that gives me strength from day to day
it will never lose its power

It soothes my doubts and calms my fears
and it drys all my tears
Oh the Blood that gives me strength from day to day
it will never lose its power.

typing that out makes me miss the Dilbones. I love to watch Sara experience that song. As you watch her face you know without a doubt that she has experienced first hand the power of Christ's blood. Happy Easter BG friends. May you experience the power of His resurrection fully today.

Kerri,

How does the second or third weekend of June sound? Three or Four day weekend. We can take all the boys down to Cape Cod to the beach and eat great seafood. If that is not what they like, well then, we can get tickets from the library for the Children's museum - Canaan loves it there - bubbles, water, slides, fish, crawling pads, etc. If that isn't what they like, we can pack up the van and go to Maine to hike or camp for a day. There certainly isn't anything wrong with staying at our house the entire time, for there are parks, beaches, and trader joes just a few blocks away - walking distance. Eric and I have no problem taking the kids for the day to the beach while you and Kelsie sit and talk about health food for hours and hours. In other words, get your *%@ to Boston!
