Last night was the second time I went to dinner with other Grandview moms. I had an incredible time. I was able to spend time talking to some really great women and met a mom who lives just a block away. The most interesting part of the conversation was about community. The question was asked, "what would Grandview look like if we were actually a community for one another?" Needless to say, my ears perked up a bit at that point in time. Good conversation on community service, how we can help our neighbors, how we can contribute to our schools. I've never been so certain that Grandview is where we're supposed to be. Now if we can just find a way to afford to live here. I guess that's more God's problem to deal with than mine! I was a little more nervous this time because my friend Ellen wasn't able to make it and she's really the only person I know. But I went, had a great time, and was even slightly witty by the end of the evening if I do say so myself. Feeling comfortable in this type of situation is such a new thing for me. I'm amazed at how God has changed me in the last two years.
LP friends, thanks for your prayers on Tuesday. It appears that health has come to our home again. My mom is also feeling a ton better. In fact she called me on Wednesday morning and told me that she felt better than she has felt in months. Thanks for your prayers for our healing.
Time to get moving. We're headed to Canton for the weekend to visit Eric's family.
Have a safe trip. I hope to see you all when you get back.

Kerri,
Please forgive me for randomly invading your blog! This is Kate Simcox. Do you think I could ask you a couple of interview questions for my project? I didn't get to talk with you as much as I had liked when we visited. You can email me at simcoxkate@hotmail.com. Thanks!!!
