Halloween is over at our house. We celebrated for 5 days and we're all a little tired. Riley had a great time at his school party and his cupcakes were a hit. I got adorable pictures from their Halloween parade, I just hope they turn out. Trick or treating was very fun as well. Our neighbors went all out. There were a ton of kids roaming the streets. Nana came down for the festivities and Papaw made a surprise appearance. He rushed home from work and drove the streets until he found us. That made Riley pretty happy. Riley, Eric and I made it to the Grandview hayride. Trey didn't last, he was sleeping soundly while the three of us enjoyed our hayride and hotdogs.
I think the highlight of the weekend was the trip to Jersey Farm on Friday night. Eric had big bachelor party plans so the boys and I spent the night at my parents house. My mom and I took Riley and Trey to the farm/pumpkin patch. It was one of those nights that was so perfect it didn't seem real. The weather was unbelievable. I can't really describe the whole evening, but in some strange way it was therapeutic for all four of us. One of those nights I'll remember for a long time.
Amy Joy's haunted birthday party was good times with our community. Sharon is the queen of good games. Trey didn't enjoy the evening quite as much as the rest of us. I think his ear is still bothering him.
We finished off our Halloween celebration today by putting on the costumes once again and heading to Starbucks to visit daddy and then dinner at Wendy's with Jen. And now, we are retiring the costumes until next year and starting Monday back on schedule. My personality can only handle so much of the chaos that comes with the parties.
Happy November everyone!
