July has come and gone very quickly. It ended on the 31st with a very special wedding. Joel Meeks got married. I consider Joel my second little brother. He's been best friends with my brother since they were Riley's age. He was the happiest I've ever seen him and it was a beautiful ceremony. May God richly bless the journey he begins with his new wife Bonnie.
Now it's August and it started off great. A ton of people from Landing Place were here last night to welcome Jen Leonard. Jen is moving here from New York in September and will be staying in our basement while she gets settled in Columbus. I think she's a little overwhelmed right now. Jen is a little introverted around new people and I am as well. I would have been really overwhelmed if I were her last night. But, it really was a great night.
There are so many things I am looking forward to this month.
1. Friday, August 6th--a day at Penzone's with my mom. Hair cut, pedicure, massage, and lunch. This was a Valentine's gift from my dad and we are just now getting around to it.
2. Sunday, August 8th--Eric and I will have been married for 6 years. That is also the day of Riley's 3rd birthday party. His birthday is actually the 9th.
3. Wednesday, August 11th--a trip to the fair with friends. Time to eat.
4. The weekend of the 13th--a trip to Eric's grandparents cottage on the lake. We're excited to meet Mason William Ayer for the first time. The little guy will be a year old in September, but this will be the first time we've seen him. We'll also have another birthday party for Riley while we are there.
5. Thursday, August 19th--Our trip to Pittsburgh to see The Wiggles.
6. August 28th--We leave for the beach! I miss the ocean. I'm so excited to go with Eric, the boys, my parents, and my brother I can hardly stand it!!
It's going to be a fun month.
