Somehow this didn't get published back at Thanksgiving. Saw it in my drafts while I was working on my other post today.
Flying Feather Four Miler...a super fun race day. We owe Jen a big thank you for running with us. Trey needed a special running buddy and Jen was a really great friend for running even though she doesn't exactly enjoy it! Riley and I were able to really push and we finished in 42:54. That was an average pace of 10:43. Trey and Jen crossed the finish line about 10 minutes later. We were able to cheer Trey on during the home stretch. I am completely wiped out today...more tired than I have been in along time. I should add that Evan ran the .2 of a mile Gobbler Chase as well. Then Nana was a big champ and stood outside in the cold with him waiting on our race to finish. The boys have plans to continue running, but it is going to change a little. Trey needs to run shorter distances than Riley, and he runs at a different pace. I am not sure how to run with them separately and train myself, but we will figure it out. Riley is planning on the quarter marathon in May, but that is the longest distance I am allowing him to run. Trey is going to try another 5K sometime this spring, but we will run it without Riley. Big plans, we will see how winter running goes...those plans may change!
Thankful for my beautiful family and a great day yesterday at my mom and dad's house. 30 days until Christmas!
