suck.

These two legs would embarrass me often in high school...my knees popping out of place while I was walking between classes. I would lose my balance and it took me by surprise every time.

These two legs have Restless Leg Syndrome. If you've never experienced this, it basically feels like electrical currents are running through your legs making them jump while you try desperately to sleep. Every time I'm overtired, this starts up.

These two legs have TORTURED me through four pregnancies, getting worse with each baby. They become covered with ugly worm like veins and small spider veins and ache with an intensity I can't describe.

These legs are now beyond ugly because after Cora the veins didn't disappear. I look awesome in shorts, note the extreme sarcasm.

And now...drum roll please...shin splints. In August I began training for the half marathon coming up on May 7th. Surprisingly, my legs have been cooperating this entire time. I went from being a complete non-runner to training for a half. I've done this slowly over time and I don't feel like I've pushed it too far or too fast.
Things were going so stinking well. Now I'm giving it one last effort with ice and compression, but I'm so worried all this has been for nothing. What if my legs just can't do this. I hate these legs today.

During the last few years of my grandfather's life his legs just quit working. Doctors couldn't find a reason and all grandpa could tell us to explain how he felt was that they just wouldn't work. I'll probably be quite a handful for Eric to deal with by the time I'm 80.
