Four nights with very little sleep...one more trip to the doctor this morning at 9am.

The Kokosing River runs through our little village and several roads are flooded. The river is rushing and has spread well past its natural boundaries. The storm last night was fierce and the sky put on quite a show while I was up rocking my baby through the night, trying to help her rest despite the fever, wheezing and croupy cough.

A new day...
Our septic has been pumped and yard is no longer filled with waste. That's always a good thing.

We have the medicine we need to help Trey and Cora and we should be past this in another 48 hours.

In the basement our laundry room has been converted into our seed room. Inside little sprouts have popped up from the soil. Spring really is coming. It won't be long until our hands are stained with dirt from turning over soil for new garden beds. The spring we have been dreaming about for a few years now is here. This spring we will learn to work our land together.

I miss you. I miss you so very much and days like today I walk to the school's front door and wonder how you and the family are doing. I am sure you are well and happy to be away from the city but there are those of us that miss seeing you......
