Back to the doctor with Evan today. Around 2pm he woke up from a nap screaming that his ears hurt. With tylenol, his temperature was 102. They wanted to see him right away at the doctor's office so I picked up the boys from school and we went right over. He has a double ear infection which explains the fever. Then she listened to his chest and back and he was wheezing with every breath. They checked his oxygen levels and gave him a breathing treatment. He was laying there, half asleep and crying with the breathing treatment machine running. I had flashbacks to the first time a doctor was this concerned over Evan's breathing, back when he was four months old. That was such a scary time for me. Evan is still my baby...in so many ways...and I was a little scared today as well.

The good news is that we are home with amoxicillin for the ear infection and we already own a breathing treatment machine and have a supply of medicine here for it. The other good news is that today we saw the nurse practitioner instead of the doctor at our new office and she was fantastic. We will definitely be asking for her rather than the doctor we've seen before when we need to go.

The not so awesome news is that this is Eric's late night at work, and he has to work late tomorrow night, and almost all day Saturday. crap. Looking forward to going to church together Sunday and coming home for the Buckeye game.

Hope Evan feels better soon and the rest of you don't catch it! And can I say how stinking proud I am of you for tackling a half. When? Where?
