Things went from bad to worse around here after my last post...Eric puking last Thursday and then Riley threw up all over the dinner table that Friday night. Cora developed some serious snotty congestion followed by a deep cough. But, I do finally think we are about to shake it all, hopefully for good this time.

Cora now has 12 teeth, 4 of them molars. I have had many doctors tell me that teething does not lead to fever and congestion. After four babies, I just think they are wrong. She's been my most difficult teether. She is now crawling up stairs and pushing her baby stroller all over the house. I keep thinking that her first steps are right around the corner...we'll see. She weighs about 19 pounds now and is 29 inches long. 30% for weight, 80% for height. She had her last well child with Dr. Sant last week and now we have officially transferred all of our records to our new pediatrician here in Mount Vernon. After one visit with him, I wasn't extremely impressed. But, I've honestly been very spoiled by Whole Kids Pediatrics in Columbus.

The most excited thing going on at our house right now is garden planning. The last two years have made gardening very difficult. Two years ago I found out I was pregnant and was dealing with morning sickness right as our growing season began. All our hard work from winter and spring with starting seeds and planting went to waste because I had no interest in even looking at food from our garden, much less cooking it. The smell of tomatoes turned my stomach. Last year we moved over Memorial Day, which is really too late to get much accomplished for a successful garden. We gave it a bit of a try but it was just too much with a new house and a new baby. This year we feel settled in and I feel like myself again. I can not wait to start working on the garden. Eric drew out plans yesterday and we've decided what our priorities will be this year. New baby chicks are in the plans for this year as well. Just the thought of beginning to work our new land her makes me almost giddy. And then the canning and preserving for next winter...it's time to pull out Animal, Vegetable, Miracle again.

Now...if we can just make it though the rest of winter!
