Random thoughts that I'm posting because I'd rather post than clean the dinner dishes...

1. I have now followed Dr. Sear's advice and things are running a little more smoothly around here. That guy knows what he's talking about.

2. Eric's grandparents have a glass of wine every day at 4pm. I am now convinced that this began many years ago when their children were in school. Let me tell you...I need a drink every day around 4pm and have now instituted my own cocktail hour here at home. Finding a snack for three starving boys, doing homework, looking through the mountains of paper that come home each day, making dinner, feeding the baby...it's enough to make you crazy.

3. Miss Cora and I found a fun little store here in Mount Vernon today. Earlier this week we spent an hour or so visiting the Mount Vernon JC Penney and Peebles to look for Cora's fall clothes. It was very frustrating. When you are used to shopping in Columbus, the lack of options in Mount Vernon is a bit of a shock. If they at least had a Target...Anyway, I came home and found this little store on the internet. We had a few minutes today and I ran in quickly to check it out. I was so happy to see their selection of girl's clothes and accessories. Which leads me to #4...

4. I am OBSESSED with hair accessories (I should say head accessories due to her lack of hair) for my daughter. We purchased two today and I have a few more coming from a fun Etsy site I found. Then Aunt Rachel sent a Snugars our way...holy cow...check out this site. This is getting a little ridiculous. We love our Snugars!

5. Tomorrow is Trey's show and tell day at school. He's taking his baby sister! How cute is that! He's insisting she wears her tutu and new headband. Love it!

6. Evan once again loves preschool. I asked him why it's better now and he said it's because he has now taught everyone there about Star Wars and they can play with him.

7. I LOVE the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. My mom got it for me a couple of years ago and I had never really spent much time looking at it. Then I started making baby food again for Cora and I realized that it's the same process of making food purees for Super Baby Food and Deceptively Delicious. These two books should really be packaged and sold together. So, I've started feeding my baby food purees to the whole family! The boys have no clue what I'm up to and they have loved every recipe I've tried. I've tried five recipes so far and they have all been very good and extremely healthy. My boys have eaten more squash, broccoli, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes in the last 3 weeks than they have in the last year. I know, I should be able to get them to eat these foods without tricking them, but it's just so much easier this way.

8. Finally...I LOVE FALL...this is my very favorite time of the year. Just a little cooler and it will be perfect. October is just around the corner.

Okay...time to go work on those dishes.
