I can't seem to get pictures posted tonight...new camera and I need a lesson.
Anyway...Miss Cora is now six months old. She had her check up today. She weighs in at 15 pounds and 4 ounces. She is quite a firecracker lately and I think she stunned the doctor with the extreme amount of energy and personality she has right now. She literally squealed while looking at herself in the mirror the entire appointment. She also shredded the paper on the examining table while sitting up on her own the entire time. The doctor mentioned her extreme energy level often and kept asking me if she is always like this! Yep, she is. I think we may have our hands full with this little girl. She continues to give us fits at nap time and bed time, just incredibly unpredictable. The doctor prescribed camomile tea for her (seriously) said it's time for her to shape up and that we need to work on her "behavior" at bedtime. Funny stuff. So, tonight baby boot camp begins for Miss Cora Jean. I have a feeling she's not going to be pleased. I also have a feeling that I'm going to be very tired tomorrow morning. We'll see. Basically, I need to start laying her down awake and letting her learn to sooth herself. Her 1 am or 3 am feedings are over. I know she doesn't need to eat then because for a week or so she'll sleep through the night. I think she just likes to hang out with me in the middle of the night because she's lonely and wants attention. Basically, she has to stop ruling the roost around here. I wanted to tell the doctor that I really don't have time to work on Cora's behavior right now because I have a three boys that require constant "behavior" work for me right now! She's so, so stinking cute. We absolutely adore this child, we can't get enough of her wild kisses.
Also, Evan has decided he HATES preschool. Awesome. He's crying in class and just wants to go home and play Star Wars. His teachers are having a very difficult time getting him to play with other kids in the class, he only wants his brothers and tells his teachers all about Riley and Trey. He's been crying off and on all night about going tomorrow. He got off to such a good start, but now the newness has worn off and he's over it.
guess who I hear in the baby monitor already...here we go. It's going to be a long night.
