In the middle of all of our recent chaos, Evan turned 4 years old on June 9th. He's getting ready to start preschool this fall. I'm excited for him to have the opportunity to make some new friends. He's a sweet boy and we love to be with him, but it's time for him to start developing a little life for himself outside of our home. It will be good for him. He's grown up a lot over the last year. He loves his new baby sister and we haven't had to deal with any jealousy issues. He loves Star Wars and Batman and spends a good part of his day imagining in his own make believe world. He plays with his brothers well, at least if they allow him to be in charge...which they usually do. It's a strange dynamic, probably very unlike most households. Evan rules play time and they follow along for the most part. When they don't, watch out! He spends some time each day in the "grumpy chair" and it's usually for yelling at his brothers. Again, school is going to be very good for him. He still loves to cuddle and snuggle and at least once a day he comes to be to say, "Mommy, you're pretty." He's my baby boy and I can't imagine life without him.
Miss Cora is now over four months old. She is rolling all over the place and can already get where she wants to go on her play mat. She loves books and I swear she tries to turn the pages. She pull hair constantly and now has her first tooth. All my kids get their teeth extremely early. She is sleeping well, usually from 9-5. Then she's up to eat and back to sleep until between 7 and 8. She's started napping a little better too, which is so nice. She smiles constantly and it lights up our home. She is my baby girl and I simply can't imagine life without her.
