Just when you think 2009 has had plenty of opportunities to show you that you are NOT in charge, one more sneaks up on you before the year's end. The good news is that I think the lesson has been learned. Not getting my way used to really make me angry. I'm starting to understand that it's quite possible that I don't know what's best for my life and my family, but that I can trust completely in the One that does. His hand continues to guide our family and this morning resting in that fact has filled my home and my heart with peace. 2010 will be full of a lot of transition and uncertainty, but I'm okay with that.
My boys spent the night with my parents last night. I had a great night with my husband. We went out to dinner, visited with friends, and had ice cream! I slept in until 8:30 this morning. I feel so rested! The boys are at the new Chipmunks movie now, so I better get moving on last minute Christmas stuff before they get home. I probably won't post again until Christmas is over.
