My three year old is filthy and must have a bath today. Earlier this week I told him it was bath time and sent him to the playroom to pick out the action figures he wanted to play with in the tub. He quickly pulled his little feet to his nose and then a quick sniff at his arm pits. He explained to me that his piggies and his arm pits do not stink, so there was no need for a bath. I gave in and let him keep playing with toys. His daddy washed him a little later with a washcloth, but it's time for a good scrubbing today!
Basketball season is getting ready to start for the boys which will mean a good deal of chaos for our house over the next few months because both Trey and Riley are playing this year. Different age brackets, so that means two practices and two games each week. Riley's first practice is today, Trey's is Tuesday. I'm very curious to see how Trey does this season. He really surprised me when he said he wanted to play. I think it could be very good for him to learn to play on a team. He's growing and changing so much right now and I'm really hoping this is a positive experience for him.
I can't believe it's already the middle of November. I think I'm putting up Christmas decorations next weekend so they are up before we leave for Myrtle Beach. The weeks are going so quickly, and I'm sure they will continue to fly by as we move through the holiday season.
Our baby girl seems to be quite the gymnast. I really wanted to sleep in this morning. The boys were up, but playing together quietly. She started doing flips and there was no way I was going to be able to sleep. Now that I'm awake and up, she's decided to settle down.
I'm looking forward to a relaxing Saturday...Riley's practice, Trey has a sweet little friend coming over to play, and the Buckeyes will take on Iowa in football. Speaking of the Buckeyes, Riley and Eric were able to go to the basketball game on Thursday night together. My parents are very generous with their tickets and we are very grateful!
