I love the white lights that fill our home this time of year.
I love the smells that fill the house from candles and baking.
It feels so warm and cozy inside. I sure wish we could hibernate inside together all winter.
My Trey turns five years old on December 16th. I made an executive decision that we would be celebrating his birthday early this year. His birthday can get lost in the holiday shuffle, and I didn't want that to happen this year. Last night we had a big night out at Spaghetti Warehouse with my family. Everyone was able to make it...Nana, Papaw, Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Baby Austin, and Great Grandma. Trey had a great time. I don't think he stopped smiling the entire two hours we were there. On Sunday we will be taking Trey and his best buddy, Adam, to the movie theater to see Bolt. He decided he would rather do this than have a big party. I was more than relieved. We'll come home after the movie for pizza, cake, and presents.
I have trouble finding the right words to describe my middle child. He is absolutely beautiful. His eyes are full of life. He feels things deeply, and has a very tender spirit. He loves to create with his hands and can entertain himself for hours with a few art supplies. His mind is constantly working and he'll often come to me to tell me about some thing he's figured out in his head..."Mommy, I've been thinking about something. Three groups of four makes twelve." He is a gift to our family each day.
Trey, your mommy loves you more than I could ever explain. Happy Birthday sweet boy.
I'll post pictures of the big five year old soon!
