We had a big birthday party to go to tonight for one of Riley's friends from Grandview. I hate going to parties back in Grandview because they are such a big deal...so much money is spent, so many kids bringing expensive presents...it's too much. But, Riley has been friends with this little boy since they were three years old, so I felt obligated to go. It was just what I expected, but I survived and the boys had fun.
Trey's birthday is just around the corner, so when we got home I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He said, "Stencils." I asked if there was anything else he would like for mommy and daddy to get him for his birthday and he said, "more colored pencils." This is the same kid who said he didn't want a party this year, he just wanted to take his friend Adam to the movie theater and then come home for cake. I love this little guy.
I love your boys too. Each one is so special in his own way. If I had to pick one thing I am thankful for this Thanksgiving, it would be my grandchildren. They bring more joy than I ever thought possible.
