30

I am 30. It still sounds a little weird. My birthday was on the 7th and we've been celebrating it since then. First, Eric and I went out without the children, which should happen more often. It was a very relaxing night and I was reminded that there is no better way to spend an evening than alone with Eric. I celebrated the next day with my family--big dinner, cake, watching Michigan get beat. Then my mom and I finished off the celebration with a trip to New York, my first trip to the city. It was amazing. I was spoiled rotten the entire weekend--two nights at the Ritz Carlton, the best food I've ever put in my mouth, Grease on Broadway with Mr. Max Crumm. In one short weekend we managed to explore Time Square, Macy's on Herald Square, the Theater District, Ground Zero, Century 21, and Central Park. I think we could have stayed all week, there was so much more to see and do. The city was unbelievable. I can't thank my parents enough for this trip. The time away was so refreshing. As soon as my mom gets her pictures up, I'll post a few here of us all done up for the show! Eric, Jen, Bill, Maureen, and Chris--thanks so much for taking care of the kids so I could have this weekend with my mom.

It's good to be home, good to be back with my four boys. I missed them. They are beautiful. Life is good, it is still full of questions and a lot of uncertainty, but my husband and my little boys are such a gift. I know they are all that really matters. So, a new week begins and we will continue to take each day as it comes.
