Life feels pretty heavy right now. There are breaks in the heaviness that are refreshing...a prayer at church this morning that began to heal the frustration from last week, time on my porch swing, hugs from my boys...I guess the most important thing is to focus on those moments and to live them to the fullest. This week Riley begins kindergarten. I don't even know what to say about it, about how much easier this would be for him and for me if we were still in Grandview. Not that I'm wishing we still lived there, but the reality is that it would be so much easier. So, here we go.
I have so many more thoughts racing through my mind, but explaining them here or really to anyone right now is difficult. So rather than sharing my thoughts, I'll share this from our worship booklet this morning instead.
It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. Through Jesus Christ our Lord;
who on the first day of the week overcame death and the grave, and by his glorious resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life.
Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with Angels and Archangels and with all the company of heaven, who forever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of your Name:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth and full of your glory,
Hosanna in the highest,
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
Really, that's all that matters right now. Choosing to praise and trust, when at times my heart fills full of doubt. Choosing to believe, to cling to what I've been taught. Choosing to continue to take one day at a time, walking each day in faith and knowing that His plans are for our good.
I love you Kerri and am praying with you.

Though you may not remember us, but my wife and I gathered with you and others at your former house a couple years ago. I met your husband once or twice for lunch and some discussion. My wife and I will continue to pray for you and your family. Through it all, as your friend suggested - the Lord's hands are at work. On a separate note, if you EVER want a quick trip out of Columbus to help deal with your stress, or just get away - feel free to come out and visit, camp, stay in our house, or just sit down by the creek. We have a few acres (near Sunbury), a barn, and a creek the boys could play in (our boys - ages 4 & 2 - can't get enough of it). Feel free to bring some frieds too - Mark & Francy - maz@wideopenwest.com or francyz@wideopenwest.com
