Evan is 7 months old today. He celebrated with another trip to visit Dr. Turek. He's become somewhat of a super star at Lower Lights! He's having some stomach issues. The good news is that he's fine. Dr. Turek thinks it's just a result of all his body has been through over the last couple of months. The bad news is that he's refusing solid foods so I'm only nursing him right now. Once his stomach seems to have settled down a bit will start all over with solid foods, beginning with rice cereal again and then slowly introducing one food at a time. He had started sleeping really well at night over the last week or so, but now that he's only nursing he's hungry more often which means I'm up at night a lot again.
He's a happy little guy. He smiles all the time. He's starting to have favorite toys, favorite songs, favorite games. His own personality is developing. He loves his taggie blanket, his duck rattle and his Baby Einstein puppet. He loves when we sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat and gets really excited when we play "trot-trot." The three boys seem to have their own language and Evan loves to talk to them. He's still spoiled, still a mama's boy.
Riley leaves for Florida with his grandparents tomorrow night. They will be visiting Eric's sister and her husband. I'm dreading the time away from him. He won't be back until next Tuesday. But, I know he'll have fun and he's really excited. The time with Trey and Evan will be good. I've made some special plans with Trey while his big brother is away.
