We're all healthy.
This week included an allergic reaction to Omnicef for Evan and the stomach flu for Riley. But, right now we're all healthy. Evan has been taken off all medication. We're going to give his body a chance to just fight off whatever is left of all of this. He seems to be doing great. Dr. Turek wasn't thrilled with Urgent Care's decision to put him on another antibiotic, which was the medication that led to the allergic reaction...oh well, for now it's over and I'm so thankful to be on the other side of all this. Riley's stomach flu was just another little surprise for the week.
Evan is six months old now. He's rolling all over the place and he sat up by himself for his pictures with Matt Blinn today. He is spoiled rotten. During this sickness he spent a lot of time in my bed. The doctor wanted me to watch him carefully for signs of respiratory distress. He really enjoyed sleeping with mommy and he is very unhappy that we are now making him sleep in his own bed and cry it out. Other than that, he's a happy baby. He's fallen in love with his brothers. They love to make him laugh.
Trey...he's a challenge right now. He was exhausting today. He's very emotional right now and gets angry quickly. The high pitched whining is more than I can handle. And yet, he gives the biggest hugs and best kisses. I feel like I'm constantly trying to deal with him, trying to teach him a more appropriate response to situations he doesn't like. I don't feel like I'm making much progress. I know he's gotten lost in the shuffle lately. Riley is busy with school and Evan has gotten so much attention since he's been sick. The middle child. I want to make sure time with Trey is a priority for this week. Saturday is his 3rd birthday. It will be Trey's special day.
Riley is getting so big. He loves to help me any way he can. He trys to help me with his brothers. This is his last week of school before winter break begins. His school Christmas program is Friday night. I love watching him practice his songs around the house. He's learning so much at school. He'll be reading soon. He loves letters. He's constantly reading them out loud to me.
I love my boys. I better get to bed so I can try to keep up with them tomorrow.
