It's moving day and I'm posting from my parents house. My job today was to hang out with my grandparents while everyone else moved their stuff to the new apartment at the independent living facility. My grandpa is very disoriented today and was driving me and my grandma completely crazy. Thank goodness for Gaither videos. We put one in and all watched it together. My grandpa began to smile, the first real smile I've seen out of him in a long time. My boys couldn't take their eyes off the screen. I started crying and singing the songs that make up my family's story. Karen Wheaton began to sing..."He ain't never, done me nothin', done me nothin' but good..." Yes the grammer is horrible, but the truth in those words in light of where Eric and I are right now was powerful. I watched as they sang with passion, believing that God's plans are always for our good. I sang loud and strong too, believing and claiming this truth for myself, my family, and Landing Place.
In a few hours we'll take Grandma and Grandpa to their new home. They lived at 260 Dunbarton for 42 years, yet my Grandma is filled with peace. She talked with me this morning about how she knew this peace was from God. I think she might even be a little excited about this new chapter. It's going to be a huge adjustment, but I know it's what is best for them.

Songs that feed the soul. Songs of the simple truths that have gotten us all to where we are today. I need those songs, I need those truths. Thanks again Kerri for all your help and Eric and Jen too. I love you all!
