Riley's school year is over. This is the first day of his summer break. Next year he'll be in a kindergarten readiness class five mornings a week. Grandview's kindergarten cut off is August 1st. He'll be five August 9th. I love what I've seen of the teacher he'll have next year. I think this class and then going to kindergarten when he's six is going to be really good for him. He had a great year this year. He's changed so much. It's hard for me to believe that he's almost five. He's asking me so many questions lately, his brain must be in overdrive most of the day. For instance, yesterday during lunch he asked, "Why don't frogs have teeth?"
Eric's last day off of work was about 10 days ago. We're making it through each day, dreaming of the 28th when he starts his leave at Starbucks. It is going to be so nice when he's just working one job. He's tired, I'm tired, the boys miss him. But, it's almost over.
I've been making lists. It's what I do, especially when I feel like things are getting out of control. My desk is covered with all kinds of lists--to do lists for me and Eric, shopping lists for Evan, packing list for the hospital, a grocery list. I find a ton of satisfaction in crossing things off my lists.
Trey just stubbed his toe. He needed me to "kiss his piggies." He has the cutest little fat piggies in the world.
Tonight after the cookout at 64 King I'll need to come home and work. Eric will probably do the same thing. At least our desks are next to each other so I can see him while we work. I love his newly shaved head and new glasses.
what's this "newly shaved head" thing? kelly and i have heard nothing of it .... pictures please. Or, well, I guess we'll see you soon enough! Kelly says she gets lots of satisfaction from crossing things off lists and that, since Eric shaved his head, she is too. haha ... she didn't say that. See you soon, sister.
