Riley and Trey's new room is done. It looks great! Becky, thanks for your patience at IKEA. We picked the right furniture. Eric finished the last details yesterday. All that is left is working with the pictures Matt Blinn took of the two of them for the room.
I'm getting excited for the holidays. I love this time of year. I love celebrating with my family. We're ready for Curtis and Kelly to come home to celebrate with us.
I finished a book. A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. My friend Ellen let me borrow it. It was good, in fact I had trouble putting it down. The end is supposed to be a "happy ending." But, it lacked hope. It's a true story about an alchoholic and drug addict's 6 weeks in rehab. It's on all the best seller lists and is Oprah's book club book right now. I can see why everyone loves it, it give the message our society wants to hear right now--you can be strong on your own. All that you need is within you, find it and hold on. Although his strength is admirable, I still feel like he is left empty at the end. He was actually on Oprah a couple of weeks ago and you could see the emptiness in his eyes. He believes that people like me, who gather strength from a "higher power" are weak. He's right, on my own I am. Should be interesting discussing this book with Ellen when I give it back to her, very interesting.
We're going to be late to school. Sometimes I pick really stupid times to write.
My patience? I believe it was you that ended up waiting on me. Wish I could see the finished product(s)
