Eric's home. The boys and I did fine while he was gone, but we sure did miss him. He's my safe place to land when the day is over and life doesn't seem quite right when he's gone. We kept busy to pass the time. I was having an allergy attack--itchy eyes, snotty nose, sore throat--but I knew we needed to keep moving or the days would crawl by. We played at the zoo, the fountains, Nana and Papaw's, the pool. The boys were so excited when they woke up this morning and saw that daddy was home. I stayed in bed and they wrestled with their daddy all morning.
Eric and I start to rep for my dad this week. I'll only be out about one day a week, but I'm still nervous. Eric will have the boys on the day I travel, which I think is going to be really good for the three of them. At the same time I'm extremely excited about this opportunity. It's something I can keep doing and take on more responsibilities later when the kids start school. A few thoughts on my dad--he is quite possibly one of the kindest people I know. He gives and loves unconditionally. He loves my mom with his whole heart, which is an incredible gift to my brother and I. He's my friend. I love hanging out with him. Tomorrow is his birthday. Happy Birthday, daddy!
Summer is going so fast.
