A week from today I'll be at Cedar Point. I love Cedar Point. I'm a little addicted to weather.com's 10 day forecast right now. They no longer are predicting rain for that day, we'll see.

Good gathering last night. I needed to spend time in scripture with others. I had been in a somewhat self centered stretch of days lately and that pulled me out of it. We've been working our way through Matthew chapter 5, beginning with the Beatitudes. The scripture last night was the most challenging for me personally of everything we've read up to this point.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:43-45

We read verses 38-48, but these were the verses that centered all of it for me. Eric's been talking about how Jesus is announcing a new Kingdom, a new way to be human in Matthew chapter 5. I have a lot to think about, a lot to pray about.

Please pray for my friend Doug tomorrow morning. Please pray for the Palmer's tomorrow morning. A really important day for both of them.

I get addicted to the 10-day forecast anytime I have a big event, i.e. the Easter Egg Hunt, my sister's wedding, etc. I'm glad I'm not alone!

I'll be praying for Doug and the Palmers. Thanks for letting us know.
