Just getting back from a wonderful 24 hours with my husband in Gambier, OH.
a soft pillow top mattress on a huge king bed
12 straight hours of sleep
a four course meal in the quaint little dining room at the Kenyon Inn
24 hours of grown up conversation with my favorite person in the entire world
the Kenyon book store, where I found a used vegetarian soup cookbook for $4
time to read the newspaper and magazines
I also drove past Pioneer Hall, Maplewood Apartments, Glen Road, and Gambier Homes, the four places I lived during my four years of college. Becky, you were missed as I passed each one of them. A nice trip down memory lane. Good, good, times. Eric and I also stopped to check out the new student union at MVNU, very nice addition to the campus.
As much as I absolutely love living in the city, part of me dreams of a time later in life when I will live in the country. I don't think that time will come for a very long time, but maybe some day.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Kerri, Sounds like you two had a wonderful time. It's nice to hear someone else talk about their fondness for good ol' Mt. Vernon. It's also good that someone understands just how much you love you girlfriends form MVNU. Your post made me smile. Mandy

Kerri,
Glad to hear you and Eric had a good time at the Kenyon Inn. Oh, for an afternoon at the Kenyon bookstore...
Your blog reminded me of our walking trips from Glen Road to Kenyon and back. We were so sore the day after but the conservations we shared were priceless. Becky
