This has been the strangest week. The stomach flu hit both kids, then me, then Jen, and then my mom. Almost all of our plans for the week were cancelled. Thursday night and Friday were beyond emotional. This morning I'm choosing to celebrate life.
Mikey is alive to experience this part of his journey. There was a day three and half years ago where we didn't know if his life would continue.
My kids are alive and healthy.
I have a new day to live today.
I had a prayer time driving home in my van last night by myself like I haven't experienced in a very long time.
I wouldn't pick this week as one to go through again any time soon, but to highlight the positives, these are my two favorite parts of my week--
At my first parent teacher conference I sat and listened to Riley's preschool teachers talk about how great he is for 10 minutes. Of course, I already think my kid is pretty amazing, but how fun to hear it from someone else! If only I could guarantee that all parent teacher conferences over the next 20 years would go so well!
Trey walked across the entire length of the living room by himself yesterday. He took his first steps on Monday, and he's just taken off now!
Some days the responsibility of raising my little boys until they turn into healthy, whole, functioning adults is overwhelming. As I look at them this morning I am a little overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with the responsibility, but even more overwhelmed by how much I love them.
A few more random thoughts just because I feel like typing right now:
Sara Dilbone needs to blog
My 91 Toyota Previa is an awesome machine
A phone call from Becky can make any day better
Eric and I leave for the Kenyon Inn in less than a week
Trey's butt stinks so I better go
Sorry to hear that you were all sick (with the exception of Eric!) Glad that Friday has come and gone. Now the coming time can be for an anticipation of the good that God plans to come of this situation.

We're glad your 91 Toyota Previa is an awesome machine. We thought so too and enjoyed lots of family vacation time with it!
Enjoy those boys!
