Yesterday was long. Now Trey has an ear infection and is on an antibiotic. He's a trooper though. He takes his medicine like a champ. It hasn't seemed to slow him down much. He still managed to knock over the bird cage at my parents house yesterday and laughed with glee as the bird flew through the house banging into walls. Yesterday also included a trip with the kids to visit my grandparents. My grandpa fell again and cut himself, so we went for a visit and had dinner with them. It wasn't a bad time, but time with them is usually exhausting. Riley took doc-doc (my grandpa) chocolate bandaids for his "toushie" (he fell on his butt).
Finished the day with a much needed break at Staufs with some friends. Even better, Sharon has agreed to help me learn to sew. I really don't think she realizes what she is getting herself into.
When I dropped Riley off at school today the mom who invited me to a monthly Mom's Night Out with other Grandview moms handed me a packet of information about two service projects that they are working on along with information on dinner this month. I can't explain how excited I am about this and how important this is for me and my desire to build relationships in my community. I'm a little nervous, I always am in new social situations.
As for preschool--I couldn't be happier with our choice to send Riley to Boulevard Presbyterian Preschool. He loves it, he loves his teachers, he loves the playground and storytime...They have a ton of activities for parents and kids and community interaction.
More to say...but no more time...
