Just watched a DVD with Jen, Mona Lisa Smile. Good movie, good company. Eric is closing and it was nice to have someone to hang out with. Made me think of when Wharton was living with us. Although he drove me crazy at times (I love you Doug!!) I remember some nights when Eric was closing and it was nice to have him in the house. Riley likes having people live with us as well. Jen is already his buddy and Doug taught him some important stuff while he lived with us, like how to catch a ball. I'm glad Riley thinks that having people live with us is "normal." It's all he's ever known and it's good for him. It's good for me too.
I think Luis may now officially be a dinner regular at the Stetler house. Dinner with family around the table seems to be a foreign concept to him, and I think he really likes it. This is how life is supposed to be. I'm learning a lot. Wharton, where are you? We'd love to see you sometime soon.

you know, i also taught him how to shake hands, throw frisbee and dance. not to mention introducing him to excellent music and chocolate milk!
please know that your family is a constant prescence in my heart and mind. the exception to the rule.
the greatest deception is to believe that what we give up (let go of) is more substantial than what will will gain. money. status. security. control. etc. you and your husband have shown, consistently, what may be gained through this discipline of "letting go", and holding onto nothing else but Faith, Hope, and Love.
may we all learn from you.
i'll be around soon enough, i promise.

peace
