Many of you have met Luis. He's our five year old neigbor who spends much of his day at my house. I'm on the edge of loosing patience right now so I thought I'd journal a moment to try and regain my composure. Luis has a ton of energy and a lot of words. He has a rough home life so we try to make him feel welcome at our home. Sometimes he can be a bit of a challenge though. I'm trying to get a little work done, customer service stuff--dealing with frustrated furniture stores and frustrated furniture factory employees, when Luis shows up. Riley was calmly watching his afternoon video while Trey was taking his afternoon nap. In no time the screaming and running begins, while I'm on a very important phone call with my dad's biggest account. The running and screaming wakes up Trey and I get upset. In my frustration I dropped all the organized papers on my desk all over the floor. To add to it, my stupid black ink cartridge just ran out so I'm paralized until I get a new one. Plus, if I hear "Hey Kerri" one more time from Luis I may just scream. This is why I typically work after the kids are in bed. I think I'll go to Target. My new friend Jen just sent Riley a gift card for his birthday. I've convinced him that it would be fun to use it for school clothes. 18 days until we go to the beach!

On a good note, our good friend Kevin Peterson from college was here to visit this morning. Kevin makes me smile. I'd really like to spend more with him and his wife. Thanks Kevin for some good words of wisdom. Eric has a new peace about our future with the denomination after his talk with you. Also, Eric and I went out to lunch today for our anniversary. My mom is awesome and agreed to watch the boys at the last minute. Good grown up lunch and conversation.

"Hey Kerri!" You're a wonderful person and a great role model for all your neighbors. I know Luis can be a handful. I commend you for your patience and hospitality, especially for hospitality shown to the little ones.
