I've never done the cool link thing that everyone else does, but I had Eric show me how today because I really wanted to put this on my blog.  I had heard a lot about Jerry Falwell's appearance with Jim Wallis on the Tavis Smiley show, first from my friend Doug Wharton and also on Phil's blog.  I decided I wanted to hear it for myself today...unbelieveable.  My mom and I have been having a lot of conversations lately about politics and our faith, this is an example of the point I've been trying to make.  I consider myself an "evangelical Christian" but am incredibly embarassed that Jerry Falwell wants to label himself as the representative of all evangelical Christians.  How could we ever say that a political party represents our faith? I could say a lot more but I'll let you listen for yourself.
Many of you who will read this post have already listened to Falwell make a fool of himself  from funny Phil's (that's what Riley calls him) link, but for those of you who haven't, check it out.

Hey - This is Jen Leonard. It was awesome to get to talk to you yesterday. I just had a few questions for you and was wondering the best way to get in touch with you. I was not sure if calling was best or if you had email or something, cause I do not want to be any added inconvience at all. Thanks so much for talking with me yesterday and let me know the best way to contact you. My email is deschism@aol.com.
