reasons why today was a really good day--
1. A calm morning and a few good games of farm bingo with Riley during Trey's morning nap.
2. A trip to Wendy's with the boys for lunch that was actually relaxing and enjoyable with no
major spills.
3. The weather was perfect. Fall is my favorite season and today reminded me of fall.
4. I finally own a copy of the More-with-Less cookbook. I picked it up at Barnes and Nobles
today.
5. During a heated fight at Barnes and Nobles between several toddlers over the Thomas the
Train track, my little boy was the one who handed the Thomas engine to the other kid and
said, "I have an idea. You play with Thomas first and then I can have a turn later." The
other kid responded by calling Riley a "bad head" and making a nasty face at him. I wanted
to buy him everything in the store because I was so proud of him, but gave him the free
sucker from the bank instead. He was happy with the sucker.
6. Both kids were quiet and content at the grocery store, even after a long day of running
errands.
7. Walked to the park with the boys and Eric before church. Again, the weather was perfect.
8. Church was a great end to a great day.
I could think of more, but now I'm just putting off getting the work done that I need to for my dad. He dumped a ton of customer service crap on my email/fax machine today I better get to it.
9. I was able to hang out with my kids all day and work tonight after they are in bed. I have a
great job.
Sorry dad, I really will get to work now. I know you don't pay me to blog!!!
I love you Kerri, Thanks for reminding me that the greatest and the littlest things are all one in the same; I needed that today.
